Kabba Bunu Council Chairman Hails Court Ruling Admitting Ex. Gov. Bello To Bail.
… Described court as court of justice, not persecution.
The Executive Chairman, Kabba Bunu LGA, Barr Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has hailed the court judgment that admitted Gov Yahaya Bello bail.
Barr. Dare in a statement disclosed that the nation’s court is a court of justice and not a court of persecution, expressed optimism that the former Governor will come out victorious at the end of the court processes.
The Chairman described the bail granted former Gov Yahaya Bello as one that is well deserved, commended his comportment and that of the present Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo as commendable.
Barr. Dare express gratitude to the Judiciary who after due diligence, applied the doctrine of admitting the former Governor bail having pleaded not guilty.
The Chairman expressed optimism that there is light at the end of the tunnel no matter the slow wheel of justice pointing out that the former Governor has come to equity with clean hands.
He said he looks forward to justice prevailing in the alleged case instituted against the former Governor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, pointing out that the court are not meant for persecution.
The Chairman lauded the former Governor for willingly presenting himself to the EFCC, pointing out that it is an indication that he has nothing to hide and also a law abiding citizen and a respecter of the laws and institutions of the country.
He said former Gov. Bello’s willingness to appear before the anti graft agency and his subsequent admittance to bail underscored his respect for the Judiciary and respect for the anti graft agency.
Barr. Dare lauded the former Governor for his humility and obedience to the laws of the land, expressed optimism that he will he will emerge victorious at the end of the proceedings.
He lauded the former Governor’s accomplishments during his years as Governor, a feat that saw to the building of a modern Kogi State in terms of infrastructure development, Commended him for the positive ratings the state enjoyed from financial institutions that scored the State high in the prudent use of resources and transparency.
Similarly, the Barr. Dare lauded the loyalty of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo to the former Governor, said he has proven that he is a trusted ally and confidant when the chips are down.
He praised the unprecedented achievements of Gov Ododo since assumption of office, pointing out that the Governor is building on the infrastructure development and transparency ratings the state has enjoyed over the years.
Barr. Dare commended the people of the State, particularly people from Kabba Bunu LGA for their prayers, support and comportment while the matter lasted for the former Governor to be granted bail, urged for their continued support to the former and present administration of Gov Ododo.
