By joshua Kogi Govt Begins Sanitization of Layouts, Invites Land Owners in TPS 33, Others for Verification
The Kogi State Government has commenced the sanitization of all its layouts across the state, particularly TPS 33 opposite the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lokoja, adjacent to the Modern Market under construction.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Management of the Kogi State Bureau of Lands.
According to the statement, the Bureau is inviting all owners of land within government layouts across the state, with particular attention to TPS 33 opposite CBN Lokoja, to come forward with their documents for verification.
The Bureau explained that the verification exercise is aimed at addressing critical issues that may affect ownership status, including confirmation of whether a plot falls within those revoked by government, cases of multiple allocation or competing claims to the same land, encroachment into other plots, genuineness of title documents, need to update or rectify documents, removal of illegal structures distorting government layouts, and community encroachment into government layouts.
The statement warned that by the notification, any plot not verified with the Bureau of Lands stands forfeited to government.
It advised affected land owners to visit the Kogi State Bureau of Lands for further information and clarification.
