The All Progressive Congress Leader in Edo Central Senatorial district, chief Francis Inegbeniki has expressed profound gratitude to his supporters across party lines who stood by him in his quest for the APC Chairmanship aspiration.
Francis Inegbeneki who was contesting the chairmanship position was forced to step down after much pressure from party leaders and the Presidency intervention to pave way for Col. David Imuse (rtd), who was elected state chairman of the party.

said, he appreciates all.
He said, “with utmost humility, I wish to express my profound gratitude and salutation to everyone that supported my aspiration for the state chairmanship of our great party, APC, in Edo state.
“My desire to contest, was in pursuance of a patriotic eagerness to reposition, rebuild and rebrand our party, to enable it discharge adequately, it’s political obligation to Edo people, as the leading opposition party in our dear state.
Howbeit, after hours of intensive meeting with the critical stakeholders of our party, it was agreed, that, for the interest and cohesion of the party, the incumbent chairman, Col David Imuse, should be supported to mantle the affairs of the party, whilst, I drop my aspiration.
Be that as it may, as a loyal party man, who want the best for the party, I was constrained to drop my aspiration, with the assurance that, our party will be rejig, reinforce and re-equip to fulfill it’s political responsibility to the people of Edo state.
In view of the foregoing, I meekly appeal to all our teeming members, to give Edo state APC chairman elect, Col David Imuse (RtD), and members of the State Executives elect, the required support to lead our party to it’s political zenith.
Once again, I extend my unalloyed appreciation, for your kind and unconditional support, throughout my aspirational pursuit.
