Honourable Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem Honored with Prestigious Legacy Award by Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ajaokuta Branch

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ajaokuta Branch, presented the esteemed Legacy Award to Honourable Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, a distinguished Member of the House of Representatives for the Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
The event drew representatives from the NSE, local engineers, and esteemed guests who gathered at National Assembly Complex to honor Hon. Sanni Abdulraheem Egidi for his outstanding contributions that extend beyond the Ajaokuta region.
The Ajaokuta Lawmaker Maker was also appointed as the Patron of the Branch since he is known for his pivotal role in advancing engineering practices and promoting national development through engineering excellence.
The NSE Ajaokuta Branch listed Hon. Abdulraheem’s invaluable support and instrumental efforts that have significantly bolstered their quiz competitions in the state and other initiatives. They appreciated his numerous impacts and plausible policies geared towards industrial growth which has elevated the status of engineers.
In an official letter presented to Hon. Abdulraheem to honour him, the NSE Ajaokuta Branch stated, “We are delighted to inform you that the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ajaokuta Branch, has chosen you for a prestigious Legacy Award as Patron of the Branch. ” This recognition underscores your long standing dedication and vital connection with the engineering community, marking you as a leader committed to fostering growth in the engineering sector.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Abdulraheem Egidi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honor and reiterated his pledge to support initiatives that propel economic and social progress through engineering. “Let us work together to turn our challenges into opportunities and make Ajaokuta a hub of engineering excellence and industrial strength,” he remarked, assuring the Engineers of his steadfast commitment under the leadership of Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo to make Kogi State a hub of industrialization and fertile land for both local and foreign investor.
“I see this honour as a call to serve and do more, the LNG Plants and other companies situated in Ajaokuta required serious collaboration with local engineers to achieve success, hence Hon SEA declared the visit as timely and crucial.
The ceremony concluded with the NSE Ajaokuta Branch sending a request letter to his Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to offer a technical pro-bono service in the state as a professional body.
