The Honorable Commissioner for Education Science and Technology Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB attend the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF OKEBUKUN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (ODA) held on the 26th December, 2020 at All Saint Anglican Church, Okebukun
The Commissioner in his speech acknowledged the dignitaries that are present at the meeting among which are; The Olu of Okebukun, HRH Omonile Ige Timothy . He also commended the joint efforts of the (ODA) Executive President and his Excos for their diligence and proactiveness in the development of Okebukun community since assumption of office.
Hon. Wemi Jones reiterated the commitment and total Supports of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State in the Education sector.
While reacting to issues by the community leaders about the level of education in Okebukun community and Kogi State in general, the Honorable Commissioner said, the Covid-19 pandemic has really caused a major stet back not only to the Education sector alone but all the sectors of the economy, but however reassured the Association of the readiness of the Kogi State Government to take the Education sector to a greater height by next year.
“Kogi Education sector will receive a rapid growth”, He said.
The ODA Executive in their remarks, appreciated the presence of the Honorable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology Hon Wemi Jones, and also thanked him for his contributions toward the development of of Okebukun community, saying that they are very proud of the Commissioner achievement thus far since his inception of office.
Words of praise were also said to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his developmental strides in Kogi state.
