2027: NO PROXY CAN DEFINE HON. FALEKE’S POLITICAL POSITION

By Musa Bakare
This is to categorically dissociate all true friends, followers and political associates of Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke from the statement reportedly issued by a group describing themselves as his “friends and political associates” regarding the 2027 Kogi State governorship.
As far as we know, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke will never authorise any faceless group to issue any political statement on his behalf.
The views expressed by the individuals presenting themselves as his associates should therefore not be attributed to his true friends.
Hon. Faleke is a humble, unassuming and deeply committed public servant and lover of the people.
His remarkable political trajectory speaks for itself and does not require the intervention of self-appointed proxies, friends or associates to define his intentions, ambitions or political direction.
At present, Rt. Hon. Faleke is fully occupied with his demanding responsibilities as a Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, as well as the broader political responsibility of supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
It is therefore unnecessary and misleading for anyone to create the impression that they speak on his behalf when they have not been authorised to do so.
The people of Kogi State, particularly the genuine followers, friends and associates of Hon. Faleke, should be wary of attempts by self appointed groups to manufacture political narratives and circulate them as though they represent his personal position.
Hon. Faleke has never needed proxies to speak for him.
When the appropriate time comes, and if there is any political project or ambition he will himself communicate to the people of Kogi State.
Until then, those who claim to be his friends or associates should refrain from putting words into his mouth or presenting their personal opinions as his official position.
Let nobody confuse personal speculation with an official position.
When he is ready to speak, the people of Kogi State will hear him directly and not through any self appointed proxies.
