Hon Sunday Karimi held his last political office in 2019 when he completed his tenure as a second term member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Yagba Federal Constituency. That is 3 years ago. Yet, his name is more recurring in the political, social, and economic conversations than many politicians across Kogi West that are in government today including the incumbent Senator.
The criticisms, as well as adoration that greets the mention of his name in any part of the Western Senatorial District of Kogi State, is only second probably to that of the Executive Governor of the State himself, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello. It is a two-edged sword.
Those who criticize him would not deny the fact that he is the most popular candidate in the race of who becomes the next Senator representing Kogi Western Senatorial District but they think, even though erroneously, that he has an overbearing presence in the politics of Kogi West and the State at large. I sympathize with them.
In the All Progressives Congress in the Kogi Western Chapter, there Is no candidate that seems to possess the capacity to fly the party’s flag aside Sunday Karimi this is because the APC is known to be a party that produces candidates with positive track-records and antecedents with enough qualities of a good Leader and Sunday Karimi is the only Candidate with such attributes, this is subject to his tracks records and antecedents as a former member of the Federal House of Representatives.
Kogi West at this point needs a Senator that will embark on programmes that will reduce unemployment and poverty among youths and women in the constituency and I am very much optimistic that Sunday Karimi is capable to do such.
We need a Lawmaker who we can repose our total trust on and Sunday Karimi is the man.
We need a lawmaker who is richly endowed with Leadership qualities that ranges from Impeachable Character, Credibility, Initiatives, Outspoken Skills, Experience and Genuine Follower-ship and Hon Sunday Karimi is the best option.
Let’s Work and Pray for a better Kogi West with Sunday Karimi as our next Senator in Kogi West.
