GSS Koton-Karfe Class of ’86 Honoured at 40th Anniversary for Contributions to School, Kingdom
Members of the GovernmentEi, Secondary School, GSS, Koton-Karfe Class of ’86 have been lauded for their sustained contributions to the growth of their alma mater and the Koton-Karfe Kingdom.
The commendation came during the set’s 40th anniversary and award ceremony held in Koton-Karfe.
The Ohimegye Igu of Koton-Karfe, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, described the class as one of the most vibrant in the school’s history. Represented by the Ozutu Ogbani Kasara, Alhaji Hassan Ibrahim, the royal father said members of the set remain pace-setters and worthy ambassadors of the institution.
Chairman of the occasion, Justice Ahamed Abdullahi, thanked God for the unity and enduring bond among members. He described his five-year leadership of the set as rewarding and urged well-meaning members to increase their support for the development of the school.
Speaking on behalf of the class, the Head Boy, Mr. Sani Yusuf, said the anniversary reflects the diverse accomplishments of members across public service, business, academia, and the private sector. He called on colleagues to renew their commitment to giving back to the school.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the National Vice President of GSS Koton-Karfe Alumni and Matawale of Lokoja, Mr. Adamu Alabi of the Class of ’78; Hajia Aishat Muhammed Amole of the Class of ’81; and Dr. Abdulkarim Shuaibu Anirevu of the Class of ’87. They expressed delight at the celebration and encouraged members of the Class of ’86 to reconnect with their alma mater and contribute meaningfully to its progress.
Award recipients Barrister Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission; Professor Hadiza Jumai Ibrahim of Bayero University, Kano; and Dr. Muhammed Abdulkadir of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, thanked the class for the honour. They said the recognition would motivate them to do more for the sustainability and growth of the school.
In his vote of thanks, Alhaji Momoh Lasisi commended the organising committee for a successful event and urged members to sustain their unity, deepen relationships, and continue promoting the development of their alma mater.,
