In a bid towards a non violent electioneering process before and after the 2023 general elections, and to also ensure peaceful and harmonious coexistence amongst the people of Nigeria, the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity has warned agent of violence and destabilization to have a rethink and desist from such actions or face the total wrath of the Nigerian youths.
The National President of the the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity (GAPU), Hon. Solomon Tabulu Pevkyaa JP, disclosed this to the press, Shortly after a National Peace and Unity Round Table 2022, with a theme,”the role of the Youths in fostering Peace and Unity amongst ethnic groups in Nigeria”,held Friday December 10,2022 at the Reiz Continental hotels, Abuja.
Speaking further, Hon. Solomon pointed out that, the teaming youths of the Country has resolved to Preach peace and ensure harmonious coexistence amongst the ethnic nationalities of Nigeria, adding that the Nation’s youth would not tolerate any actions that will be targeted towards disharmony, disunity and instability during and after the 2023 general elections.
The president further stressed that, the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity, would not entertain any form of protest and gathering during and after the 2023 general elections, whose aim might be targeted at undermining the the wishes of the majority, Saying that any attempt by any individuals or group will meet stiff resistance.
He said the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity has resolved to visit all the local government areas in the Country to preach the message of peace, unity and harmonious coexistence,as that was the only way the country Nigeria could progress and actualize the dreams of the founding fathers,he said.
Our Correspondent gathered that Some few individuals were also honoured with an award as icons of peace and quiet at the round table 2022, but reacting to question from journalists on why they were awarded,Hon. Solomon said the awards were given to the recipients who had distinguished themselves in preaching and promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and the oneness amongst the various religious and ethnic nationalities in the country, and were deservedly accorded by the Global Alliance for Peace and Unity as a Compliments .
