The Vice Chancellor reiterated his resolve at the official opening of the FUL Senior Staff Club Lokoja, located at the Adankolo Campus, described the initiative to establish the Club as part of effort to improve the welfare of staff and to bring Lecturers together.
Aside serving as a place for recreation and bonding, the Vice Chancellor explained that the Club house will enhance and advance research and other academic work amongst Lecturers, explained that the Lecturers and the institution stands to gain with the debut of the Club House.
While pointing out that aside bringing people from different departments of the University to meet after a hard day’s work, he said as an administrator striving to meet with the yearnings and aspirations of the Staff, said the Clubhouse would afford him the opportunity to get information and happenings in the University.
The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude to
GODEC Power Nig. Ltd. for the facelift given to the Clubhouse, assured that effort would not be spared in bonding the Lecturers and in creating the enabling environment for increased productivity.
Speaking after the official opening of the FUL Senior Staff Club, the President, Jeremiah Ayok, disclosed of plans to have another outlet at the main campus of the University at the Permanent Site with the full complement of sporting facilities for Lecturers.
The President described the club as a place to bring people of diverse culture and social background together to relax and recreate, expressed confidence that the new facility will help staff to unwind and bond with the intention of moving the University forward.
