The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Abubakar Gegu Felicitates with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of the celebration of HIJRAH 1448AH.
The Commissioner who also double as the Co-chair, in a goodwill message, sue the faithful on unity and peaceful coexistence.
“I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Kogi State Council of Ulama, our royal fathers, Islamic scholars, government officials, and the entire Muslim Ummah gathered today at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja for the 1448AH Hijrah celebration. Though unavoidably absent, my heart is with you as we mark this significant milestone in the Islamic calendar”.
“Hijrah is more than a historical migration. It is a timeless call to move away from evil, injustice, and division toward righteousness, unity, and service to humanity. As we step into 1448AH, I urge us all to use this occasion to renew our faith, purify our hearts, and rededicate ourselves to the values of peace, compassion, and mutual respect that Islam teaches”.
“On behalf of the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, I wish to assure Kogites that our government remains fully committed to providing a peaceful and sustainable environment where religious tolerance and harmony thrive. We recognize that development can only flourish where there is peace, and we will continue to work with religious leaders, traditional institutions, and security agencies to safeguard lives and property across the State”.
“To our youths, I appeal that you embrace education, good character, and the fear of Allah. Shun violence, drug abuse, and all vices that destroy destinies. Your future is bright, and this government is investing in pathways that will give you hope and opportunity”.
