Eid el Fitri: Hon. Hajia Momo Gimba Congratulates Muslims, Kogi Market Women, Gov. Ododo.
Hon. Hajia Momo Gimba, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, who doubles as President (Iya Loja1) of Market Men and Women Welfare Development Association in Kogi State, has congratulated Muslims, particularly Market women on the auspicious occasion of the 2025 Eid el Fitri celebration.
In an Eid-el-Fitr message, She admonished Muslim, particularly women to continue good deeds after Ramadan.
She noted that Ramadan was a period of prayer, thanksgiving, forgiveness, spiritual training and self-examination, and urged Muslims, particularly women to avoid acts forbidden by Islam after Ramadan.
”We thank the Almighty that we are alive to see the end of the month of Holy Ramadan – a serious spiritual exercise to strengthen our Islamic faith.
”It is also an opportunity to collectively pray for the prosperity and development of ourselves, families, our state and the country at large.
”We need to be steadfast to the teaching of Islam beyond Ramadan period by shunning sinful behaviour; that is the way to attract Allah’s blessings of prosperity and development in all aspects of our lives and in our country,” he said.
She urged women residents in the State to respect and tolerate one another irrespective of religion, culture and tribe to promote peace.
According to her, Nigeria and Kogi State stands to benefit more as a united State and nation.
”Let us unite together and build a very strong nation that our children will be proud of.
”I am appealing to women of Kogi State to continue to support and pray for the success of the Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo led- administration to further enhance the delivery of democratic dividends,” she said.
