Edo Varsity Awards Scholarship To 100 Indigent Students

The Edo State University Uzairue has awarded scholarships to 100 indigent students of Edo State to enable them continue their educational pursuit in the institution.
The full scholarship award covers both the fees and accommodations, while other awards covers only the fees without accommodations.
Presenting the letters of award to the successful candidates at university, the Acting Vice Chancellor of the university Prof. Dawood Egbefo said the scholarship award is for brilliant students and less privileged of Edo State.
“These scholarships are designed to support students who have demonstrated exceptional academic performance and at the same time may face financial challenges in pursuing their education” Egbefo said.
The acting VC said the scholarship award which was established by the founding fathers of the institution is to give better lives to indigent but brilliant students.
He congratulated the awardees for their hard work, dedication and academic achievement and urged them to continue to excel in their academic pursuits and advised them to work hard to justify the award.
He, however, warned against any misconduct of the students saying that any of them found wanting, the scholarship would be withdrawn.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the school and said they were delighted to benefit from the gesture.Adding that the scholarship would go a long way to support their education.
