Edo PDP Calls For Calm Over Court Ruling

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), has called on the candidates that emerged from the just concluded primary to remain calm as the party has appealed the judgement at the appellate court.

 

 

Earlier today, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has delivered judgement in the favour of the Legacy Group members of PDP, as the 3 Ad hoc Delegates List confirmed authentic, as well as accepting the duly elected candidates of the just concluded primary in the Edo state as authentic by the Constitution.

The statement issued and signed by the State chairman of the party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi read, “Our attention has been drawn to an Abuja High Court ruling regarding the conduct of the Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congresses.

“We call on all candidates that emerged from the exercise to remain calm as the party has appealed the judgement at the appellate court.

“We are certain that the exercise was conducted in line with laid down procedures and guidelines of our great party and are confident that these would be duly acknowledged by the higher court.”
