Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative Holds Monthly Nutritional Support, Distributes Foodstuffs, Payment of WAEC Fee.


 

The Executive Director of Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative, Roseline Alabi has expressed gratitude to certain individuals who have contributed immensely in various ways towards making sure people affected are not stigmatized, and are also supporting the running of the organization in the State.

 

Mrs Alabi gave made the expression during her usual monthly outreach to persons living with the virus With journalists in her office in Lokongoma, Lokoja.

She called for more support from the people and the government at large adding that it is expensive to cater for such persons as more help will be appreciated.

She urged those living with the virus generally to take proper treatment and the necessary vitamins to prevent the virus from spreading to other people.

The Executive Director appreciated the state government and well-meaning individuals who have helped them financially and with food items.

The Executive Director particularly mentioned, Dr. Mrs Folashade Ayoade Arike, Secretary to the State Government for a donation of a bag of rice amongst other support over time, thanked her for standing by the foundation.

According to Mrs. Roseline, 12 students are under the sponsorship of the Dual Care and HIV Prevention Initiative for the payment of their school fees.

She used the medium to solicit funds for a child who is not HIV positive but is suffering from malnutrition which has made her blind and partially paralyzed.

Mrs Roseline thanked the owner of Malachite TV Avoyi Nwogu, the SSA to the Governor on Electronic media for her constant support towards the organization by providing a temporal space for the organization and free media coverage, also thanked others who pleaded anonymity.

Highlights of the monthly nutritional support was the sharing of 2 bags of rice to beneficiaries, handing over of WAEC fees to a beneficiary as made possible by a good Samaritan who lives in the USA.
