Dr. Usman Ogbo Lauds Gov. Bello’s Educational Transformation


 

As Gov. Bello Bags Stewardship Newsmagazine Education Award

 

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has again bagged another award in Education from the Stewardship Newsmagazine.

 

 

The award presentation to Gov. Yahaya Bello was done at the Stewardship Newsmagazine Award, Public Lecture and Award Ceremony in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the education sector in the State.

Presenting the award on behalf of the Stewardship Magazine, the Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Usman Ogbo, described the award as well deserved, disclosed that education under the leadership of Gov. Bello has received unprecedented budgetary provision.

He listed the 100% accreditation of courses at the Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba, the massive transformation at the Kogi State Polytechnic, College of Education, Ankpa, and several of the State’s higher institution as unbelievable.

The Rector particularly praised Gov. Bello for starting the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara within a year and in the period of Covid19 as outstanding, commended the ongoing construction of GYB Model schools across the State as eloquent testament of the love the governor places on education.

He described the 30% budgetary provision for education in the 2022 budget as first of its kind in the history of the funding for education in the country, described the award as an elixir that would spur the Governor to do more.

Dr. Ogbo described education as the best legacy that can be bequeathed to the younger generation, lauded the Youths and women inclusion style of Gov. Bello as worthy of emulation.

Similarly, Dr. Ogbo praised the award on the Kogi State Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku as coming at a better time, described his grassroots efforts to improve education as timely and commendable.

In a welcome remarks at the occasion, the Publisher of the Stewardship Newsmagazine, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, said the award for Gov. Bello is in recognition of the outstanding performances of the Governor in the Educational Development of the State.

According to the Publisher, said the theme of the 2021 Public Lecture: Gov. Bello: A Project For Generational Renaissance, is hinged on the establishment of the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, the infrastructure Development witnessed in all the State tertiary institutions and the massive construction and reconstruction of GYB model schools across the state.

The Publisher concluded by saying that the award is the Magazines contributions to the Presidential aspiration of Gov. Bello, opined that a man who can secure a State surrounded by ten other states and has contributed outstandingly to Education like Gov. Bello, is fit to be President of Nigeria, reason the public lecture is in his honour.

In his presentation, a seasoned Journalist and Publisher of the Nigerian Post Newspaper, Abu Micheal, described Gov. Bello as A Project For Generational Renaissance, urged parties to rather than be concerned about zoning and other mundane qualities in choosing the country’s President, Capacity and Performance which marks out Gov. Yahaya Bello, he opined should be the deciding factors in who becomes the country’s President..
