Dekina/Bassa : PDP screening c’ttee disqualifies Mamuda Yakubu Kampala and Mr Tony Isah .


 

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Assembly Screening Committee in Kogi State, on Wednesday, disqualified two House of Representative Aspirants for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency Mamuda Yakubu Kampala and Mr Tony Isah from Dekina/Bassa House of Representatives contest over various acts of misconducts.

The result of the screening exercise released on Thursday in Lokoja, the state capital, showed that while other aspirants received the nod of the committee to proceed with their aspirations, Mamuda Kampala and Tony Isah were disqualified from the race.

Both were screened out because they are not registered voters in the Federal Constituency , and is therefore, ineligible to participate in the senatorial election. The committee is said to have noted that the fact that bit of them
Are not eligible to vote or take part in an election in the Federal Constituency , automatically forecloses their chances of benefiting from any vote cast in the district, the committee further noted that boy has never voted for anyone in Federal Constituency and hence not qualified to run.

Similarly, an aspirant to the House of Representatives from the Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Ismail Inah Hussein, was disqualified on the grounds of anti-party activities.
