Nomination Form; Kogi APC Aspirants Decry high Cost of submission Charges As Killing.


 

Aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Kogi State have described the additional fee by the State Chapter before submission of their forms to contest as killing and another attempt to kill democracy.

According to the aspirants who spoke with Newsmen at the Party Secretariat, lamented the additional N100,000, N500,000, N1m and N5m money to be paid by aspirants after the huge cost of nomination form paid to the National Secretariat.

By a memo released to the aspirants and made available by the aspirants to Newsmen, lamented the extra N100,000 as party levies and dues aside cost of purchasing the form.

The internal memo reads thus:

INTERNAL MEMO:
FROM: APC SECRETARIAT KOGI.
TO: ALL ASPIRANT 2023.

This is to notify all Aspirant of Various Office for 2023 Election that:

1) Intended Aspirant for the 2023 Election are to obtain/ Submit Thier Nominations and Intent forms at Party secretariat after meeting the below requirements:
I) Tender the Teller or Evidence of payment for the office vying for.
Ii) Evidence of payment of party dues and Levi’s for the past Two years.( #100,000 Per Annum)
III) Evidence of payment of Administrative charges i.e 5%of Intent and Nomination form.
a)STATE HOUSE ASSEMBLY – #100,000
b) FED. HOUSE OF REP – #500,000.
C) SENATORS – #1,000,000
d) PRESIDENTIAL – #5,000,000
IV) All payment are to be made directly to Party Account.
