The need for the State and Federal Government to rise up to the security challenges facing the state and country in general has been emphasised.
Dr Samson Isibor, the chairman of Coalition of Registered Political Parties, (CRPP), Edo State Chapter, gave the advised in Benin City, while addressing the CRPP 2021 awardees of excellence ceremony.
In his welcome address, Dr Isibor, noted that the essence of the award is to spur the awardees to do more to the betterment of the people and the society.
He advised politicians irrespective of political divide, to eschew politics of bitterness and see the development of the society as a priority.
“We should eschew politics of bitterness. As a political parties, what is uppermost in our agenda is the development of our dear state, through the dividend of democracy to our people both in urban and rural areas.
“CRPP as Political Parties, we play politics of no bitterness. Political Parties are partner in progress, to government in power we criticize constructively and profer solutions where necessary, we. also commend and applaud the government whenever they do something worthwhile.
“Today’s occasion is part of the functions we carry out as in the past to commend and give honours to achievers and those who distinguished themselves in their varies field of endeavors.
As you can see the recipients cuts across political divides, and various enterprises. The aim of the award is to encourage the recipients and spur them to do more for the advancement of the society.

According to him, ” Kidnapping is still on the rise in the state , Edo state should sign and implement the anti open grazing law as agree to by the Southern Governors Forum. Federal Govt. should listen to the cry of the people of this country by declaring bandits, killer herdsmen kidnappers in various forms as terrorist and deal with them as such. Without further delay.
“The cost of living is becoming unbearable, government should do something about it by setting up Commodity Board and Price control in Edo State in particular and the country in general without delay.
He said, ” many of the Roads in Edo State especially in rural areas are in bad shapes and require urgent state government attention. As Farmers cannot bring their produce to the urban area for sale due to aforementioned reasons.
“We also call on the Edo Edo State governor to reconsider and reconstitute the full house of 24 member assembty as the father to all. ”
Furthermore,we advice our brother Party the PDP to settle their internal matters peacefully to allow the Governor move the state to the next level.
