His Lordship, Justice Mary Ituseli of the Edo State High Court Criminal court 4 , has returned the case file between the State and Austin Olokor for a re-assignment to another Judge.
The trial judge, Justice Mary Ituseli, at today’s trail , said she is
returning the case file back to the Chief Judge based on personal reasons, that the court deems it fit to transfer the case to Chief Judge for re-assignment.
Austin Olokor, is presently facing trail for the brutal murder of Okhuomose Omorodion and Genesis Orji, in Ologbo Dukedom in Ikpoba Okha Local government of Edo state.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the judgement, counsel to the defendant, Barrister Mathew Edaghese said they will wait patiently for the case to be reassigned to another judge for trial to continue.
Barrister Edaghese explained that the court has its reason for quiting the case and transferred it to the Chief Justice to re-asign it to another judge.
He said though, no date was fixed but waiting for the CJ for further directive and action.
Transferring the case, the trial judge, justice Mary Ituseli said it was based on personal reasons that the court deems it fit to transfer the case to CJ for re-asignment. End.
