A new state Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers NUT has been elected ,he is Comrade Salihu Joel.
He polled 155-votes to defeat other Four aspirants that scored 89-votes, Comrade Yusuf Ibrahim.
Comrade Aminu Ibrahim also scored 132 votes against 88-votes of his opponent to emerged as the second vice Chairman.
In his post election speech,the recently emerged state NUT Chairman,comrade Joel Salifu expressed gratitude to delegates and critical stakeholders for finding him worthy to be their leader.
According to him,under his watch is to bring teachers together with a view to form a common front.
