COMR. IGNATIUS TASKS NIGERIANS ON PEACE,URGES GOVERNMENT TO BE FAIR TO ALL.
A member of the United Nigeria Chaplaincy Corp International, Comrade Onwurah Chinedu Ignatius has Called on Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic, religious and Political background to do all they Could to promote a Peaceful and crisis free atmosphere in the Country.
Comrade Ignatius said tolerance, peaceful and harmonious Coexistence amongst the various ethnic and religious groups in Nigeria was Key to a United and a prosperous Nigeria, adding that all Nigerians must work towards enthroning a peaceful atmosphere in the Country, he charged.
Comrade Ignatius disclosed this to the Press at an international peace Conference/Award, Organised by the United Nigeria Chaplaincy institute, held Monday January 22,2024, at the National merit Award House, Maitama Abuja, with interactions and discussions Centred on how to promote peaceful and harmonious Coexistence amongst Nigerians, and was attended by Political office holders, Captains of Industries,heads of Government agencies and Parastatal, Non-governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations respectively.
He further Called on the Federal Government to be fair and just in their dealings with all Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political background, adding that unfair treatment to some segment of the Nigeria’s federation would only breeds Civic disobedience and agitations which might unfortunately led to disunity and crisis.
While lamenting the spate of Killings in some parts of the country, the Njikoka local Government Area of Anambra State, South East Nigeria born Chaplain, Comr. Onwurah Ignatius implored the Federal Government of Nigeria to do all they could to secure the lives and properties of it Citizens.
He Commended the United Nigeria Chaplaincy institute for Coming up with Such Conference, which according to him, would help to Promote peace in the Country,he also hailed the Commandant General, Prof. Jidejisos Josiah Ijie for his Selflessness and outstanding leadership which has propelled the United Nigeria Chaplaincy Corp to an enviable height.
