The People of Adankolo, Community of Lokoja LGA, Kogi State have commended the efforts of Gov. Yahaya Bello in the Building of New School for the Community and in the Upgrade of the the Traditional Stool of Etsu Adankolo.
The Community made the commendation when they paid a scheduled visit to the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, to expressed appreciation to Gov. Yahaya Bello for his love for the community.
Mr Ajofe (Chief) Yakubu Godwin, Principal Govt Day Secondary school Adankolo, was the Leader of the delegation. The delegation was made up of Chief David Agbai, Etsu Adankolo Lokoja.
The leader of the delegation said the community is experiencing a new lease of life under the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration.
While appreciating Gov. Bello for the building of a new School ongoing in the community, the Leader of the delegation, equally expressed satisfaction with the already renovated schools in the area, commended the giant strides the present administration has recorded in the repositioning of the educational sector.
Similarly, in a remarks, Chief David Agbai, Etsu Adankolo Lokoja, said the Community is appreciative of the upgrading of the stool of Etsu Adankolo, described it as a milestone coming after over a hundred years.
He assured that the gesture would spur him to ensuring peace in the community, lauded the efforts of Gov Bello in making the state safe and peaceful for socio economic development.
Speaking at the visit, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones ascribed the unprecedented development in the Education Sector to the commitment of Gov Bello to laying a solid foundation for sustained growth of the state.
He described the upgrade of the stool of Etsu Adankolo by Gov. Bello as a measure of the respect he has for the traditional institution, said he would convey the appreciation of the Adankolo Community to Gov. Bello.
The Commissioner disclosed that the present administration has consciously taking the issues of education in the State to another level, said it underscores the administration’s resolve in making Education top on the thematic list of the administration.
