CHRISTIANS MUST GET INVOLVED IN GOVERNANCE, SAYS SSA
Elder Hon Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo, Special Assistant on Christian Political Affairs, has urged Christians to actively participate in governance, saying their absence would leave the arena to those with unchecked motives.
Itodo emphasized that prayer without participation is insufficient, citing biblical examples like Nehemiah and Esther, who combined prayer with action.
He noted that Christians can help set the agenda by bringing biblical values into the conversation, such as justice for the poor and integrity in public funds.
The SSA also commended Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo’s administration for its inclusive approach, ensuring representation of Christians in government.
Itodo appealed to Christian leaders to encourage believers to step forward for public service, equipped with prayer and accountability.
