The Speaker and Chairman Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar has lauded the State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Usman Zakari Health for his vast knowledge of the health sector, described him as a round peg in round hole.
The Speaker and members of the House of Assembly made the remarks following the laudable presentation made by the Health Commissioner at the 2024 budget presentation of the Ministry, pointing out the people of the State deserve better health services in the coming year.
In their separate rematks at the budget presentation, the Speaker lauded Dr. Usman Zakari Health Commissioner urged him to implement the budget that would see to the wellness of the people.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon Umar said the budgetary provisions as contained in the 2024 budget has the capacity to improve the quality of lives of the people, pointing out that health is wealth.
In his remarks, the Chairman Health Committee, Kogi State House of Assembly lauded the Hon. Commissioner for his Health’s knowledge of the health sector said he has justified his appointment with the eloquent presentation at the budget presentation.
Other members of the House and committee lauded the presentation, pointing out that the State Government has made adequate provision for the health Sector which if implemented will go a long way to improve on the health of the people, lauded the Commissioner for his outstanding presentation and defense of the budget.
In his remarks, the Commissioner For Health, Dr. Usman Zakari Health said the 2024 budget for the Ministry is geared towards consolidating on the achievements the present administration has recorded in the health Sector.
Aside the equiping of the State hospitals, the Commissioner said the budget provides for the employment of health personal and improved infrastructure in the health Sector.
