BN Ceramics Gets Award For CSR/Work Place Safety


 

Management of BN Ceramics Company Ajaokuta have been commended for its sustained use of corporate social responsibility and welfare packages in improving employee satisfaction and safety.

 

The commendation was made by the Caretaker Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Isreal Alonge at the presentation of an award to the BN Ceramics Company, in recognition of the recent provision of two staff buses, safety equipments, increased salaries to workers of the BN Ceramics Company as well as several support the company has given to its host Communities.

 

Comr. Alonge particularly praised the BN Ceramics for the company’s policy of involving employees leadership in decision making, expressed satisfaction that the Initiatives has served and has helped employees have a greater sense of investment of their time, energy into the organization.

The NYCN Chairman observed that corporate responsibility initiatives have become more demanding, with workers, consumers, host Communities increasingly interested in patronizing businesses that support causes they value, urged the BN Ceramics Company to continue to sustain Initiatives of making workers and the host community cardinal focus in their activities.

The NYCN urged the management of BN to continue to partner with priorities that are important to its workers and host Communities, lauded the efforts to provide two buses, safety equipments and the increase in salaries and wages, as BN Ceramics Company’s commitment to remaining true to its brand and acting responsibly and sustaining its original objectives.

While acknowledging that the corporate responsibility and responsiveness shown by the BN Ceramics has played a major role in employee satisfaction and retention rates of workers, described the feat achieved by BN Ceramics Company as unprecedented.

He notes that with the huge investment by the company on welfare, motivation of workers and in supporting Host Communities, Comr. Alonge expressed confidence that it will help to give employees and the host Communities a greater sense of belonging in the organization, and higher turnover for the organization.

The NYCN Chairman urged BN to continue to sustain its improve welfare packages to workers and Community-based services to the host Communities and Improve welfare packages to workers through interactions, remuneration, and giving back to the community.

Speaking on behalf of the BN Ceramics Company, the Human Resources Manager (HRM) of BN Ceramics, Mallam. Saliu Momoh, said the efforts to motivate and ensure the safety of workers by the organization would be sustained.

He described the purchase of buses, safety equipments, increased remuneration as well support for the host Communities as a deliberate efforts by the company, assured that BN Ceramics Company would continue to do more for both the workers and the host communities.
