The President of the Nigeria Bangladesh Business and Technology Forum has facilitated with Kogi’s illustrious son and serving Commissioner of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris on the occasion of his birthday, urging him to remain focused, dedicated and determined in carrying out his roles and responsibility in the sensitive position and task of providing financial advise and road map for the Yahaya Bello administration, which has kept the administration rating in most national financial performance rating higher than it’s peers.

As a close, loyal, unassuming confidant of the most youthful governor in Nigeria whose aspiration to provide the right leadership for Nigeria has lately been trending, the Bilateral business forum congratulated the equally youthful and laurels winning Banker turned politician as he adds another year in his life’s journey, urging him to remain focused, committed and determined in his quest to making Kogi state the business hub in Nigeria and encouraged him to help sustain the ship on its sail as the Q3 most attractive investment destination in Nigeria above Lagos state as recently reported by the NIPC.

He maintained that his trust in Almighty Allah as the the greatest Schemer must be further deepened as the State matches to more fulfilling and better years ahead.

Commissioner to look the way of Bangladesh for practical and beneficial bilateral trade and technology opportunities, to provide sustainable answers to Kogi’s areas of comparative advantage like cashew, fisheries, agriculture, ready made garments, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, Kenaf and 5 jute value chains for the desired industrial and technological break through without the usual qualms. The Bilateral Forum congratulated Hon. Asiwaju Asiru Idris further and narrated the Bangladeshi economy as a developed economy in South East Asia, unknown to many with an average 7 – 8.3% GDP growth rate since 2006 and an impressive 5% GDP growth rate despite the Covid -19 pandemic disruptions of 2020. As a result of it’s impressive developments, Bangladesh is often referred to as a model global development surprise” and has been a leading world player in Pharmaceuticals, cotton, Garments and textiles (CGT) Ceramics, Agro Allied services including Jute and 5 value chains, education and technology.
