The people of Kogi West Senatorial District of Kogi state under the Chairmanship of Elderstatesman, General and Distinguish Senator Tunde Jonathan Ogbeha has expressed it’s willingness to take the Governorship seat of the state come 2023.
In a communique reeled out by Hon. Musa Amodu, a one time Secretary to Kogi state Government, the people of Kogi West stated that the Eastern Senatorial block of the state has ruled for fourteen years seven months (14 yrs 7 months) and the Central Senatorial block heading for it’s eight years in office while the good people of Kogi West are yet to be Governor for a day.
In the communique, they expressed the need for fairness and equity, which calls for balance in things that belongs to the entire state.
Kogi West people from all walks of life, attended the one day summit, tagged IT IS TIME, with the mindset to carry everyone along in the scheme.of things, saying that whatever, advange anyone seem to have over the others, should not be abused.
Present at that event were sons and daughters of Kogi west from far and near, amongst whom are, H.E Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, a one time Deputy Governor in Kogi state and the National President of Okun Development Association, Barrister Femi Mokikan, Bar. Shaaba Ibrahim, member representing Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency, to mention but a few.
The organizers were called upon to ensure that, this is just the beginning and that the canopy is extended to accommodate more interests and people in Kogi West.
