The Sodangi of Lokoja and Member, Representing Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency, Barr. Shaba Ibrahim has expressed sadness over the demise of the Maigari of Lokoja, HRH Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi 111.
In a statement, Barr. Shaba says:

The Sodanji of Lakwaja and Member House of Representatives, Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim has joined the endless list of mourners to send condolences to the traditional institution of the people of Lokoja following the tragic passing of our royal father, The Maigari of Lakwaja, Alh. Dr. Muhammed Kabir Maikarfi III (Bagadozhi), whose sad event took place at the late hours of yesterday Wednesday September 28, 2022 in a brief illness.
Barr. Shaba described the late monarch as an inspirational father to all, and his lead role towards ensuring stability, peace and progress of our dear Lokoja and the entire State was massive.
It’s indeed a sad one, and a sober time for all sons and daughters of Lakwaja Kingdom and the State in general, as one of our most respected traditional figures returns home.
The late Maigari of Lakwaja who reigned for more than 30years was an in-law to the wife of Barr. Shaba Ibrahim, Haj. Fatima Lami Ibrahim.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him peace in Al-Jannah Firdaus. Amin!!!
