Invitation to the Advisory Board of the U.S.-Africa Trade Council
On behalf of the U.S.-Africa Trade Council (USAfriTC), we would like to extend the invitation to you to join the Trade Council’s Advisory Board for 2022-25.
With your deep-rooted roles in commerce and the economic development of Nigeria, along with your international footprints and over 20 years’ wide-ranging professional work experience spanning Strategy, financial inclusion, renewable energy, and extensive banking experience in Institutional and Commercial Banking, the U.S.-Africa Trade Council holds you in very highest esteem.
We believe that you will be able to advise on the programs, policy leanings and the body of efforts to improve the trade traffic between US and Africa.
The objective of the Trade Council is to strengthen and enrich the non-government vehicle of investment and trade between the United States of America and Africa, while preserving our culture and identity in our host country, United States of America. The U.S.-Africa Trade Council’s core agenda is built around three interdependent themes:
Establishment of linkages, policy input and advocacy to increase bilateral trade and investment between US and Africa;
Interchange with the American Business community on the resources that abound in Africa, generating Trade, Tourism and Foreign investment in Africa; promote internationalization of African businesses, products and services to US market.
The U.S.-Africa Trade Council Advisory Board, would, inter alia, advice on programs and organizational planning, advise on advocacy for public policy to protect private sector businesses, have speaking engagements in promoting U.S.-Africa Trade relations, as well as corporate Membership and sponsorship.
As a member of the U.S.-Africa Trade Council Advisory Board, we ask that you
Advise the Trade Council concerning matters that are in your area of expertise in the form of sharing strategic insights, ideas, inputs, suggestion, and making introduction and/or recommendation when needed.
Participate in Advisory calls, and/or conference calls when notified which will last no more than 60, minutes per call.
Participate in Advisory Board Annual Meeting when notified at least two (2) months in advance.
Be accessible to the Trade Council to provide guidance on business strategy issues as needed.
We are excited to have you as member of the Advisory Board of the U.S.-Africa Trade Council, and we look forward to your acceptance of this invitation, as we work together in identifying, improving and harnessing the mutual opportunities in the U.S.-Africa Trade axis.
