Ajaokuta Ward Exco, Gimba Baba Supporters Back Yahaya Bello, Other APC Candidates, Reaffirm Party Unity
The Executive members of Ajaokuta Ward in Ajaokuta Local Government Area, alongside supporters of Hon. Gimba Baba, have held a strategic meeting with Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, an aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ajaokuta Federal Constituency seat, to strengthen party unity and resolve differences.
At the meeting, Hon. Gimba Baba, who had been contesting for the Ajaokuta North State Constituency seat in the House of Assembly, formally pledged his loyalty to party supremacy and announced his decision to step aside in support of the APC consensus candidate, Hon. Moses Sanni Aguva
Hon. Gimba also expressed his support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, commending his achievements in Ajaokuta LGA. He further endorsed former Governor Yahaya Bello for the Kogi Central Senatorial District, reaffirming his alignment with the party’s broader political direction.
In a unified stance, Hon. Gimba and his supporters declared their full backing for Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem’s second-term ambition, citing the need for fairness, equity for Eganyi District, and continuity in the representation of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem appreciated the show of loyalty and commitment to the party, assuring stakeholders of his readiness to address their concerns. Hon SEA pledged to deepen development efforts across the constituency and emphasized that those who uphold party supremacy and unity would have no cause for regret under the current leadership of Governor Ododo.
