In the late hours of today, Friday, February 3rd, 2024, the overall PDP woman leader of Imo Estate in Ajaokuta Steel Township had dumped her party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP with over 50 market women to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to Madam HALIMAT ABDULLAHI, the woman leader, said it has become crystal clear that the PDP is not the kind of any serious opposition party that is ready to wrestle power from the hands of the rulling APC. The former PDP woman leader further explained that, “Besides, the incredible antecedents of the Ajaokuta Federal Constituency APC House of Representatives Candidate, SANNI EGIDI ABDULRAHEEM has made him an unbeatable Candidate ahead of February 25th general elections so i decided to pull out of the sinking PDP with over 50 of my women supporters to join the APC, a party with great candidates, stronger and better with capacity to win elections.”
Presenting the APC flag to the woman leader some of her members, now full members of APC at the event, the Chairman of Ajaokuta Steel Township APC forum, Engr. Alimi expressed delight, on behalf of the leaders of APC in Ajaokuta LGA, adding that the woman leader and her great women has made the best decision, owing to the fact that the APC is the only credible party that can be trusted and relied on for greater development.
