…. Heads To Roll As Assembly Makes Vital Pronouncements
The Kogi State House of Assembly would today hold an emergency meeting.
The House have been on a recess for members to take part in the APC Primary’s.
A source at the Assembly who would not want his name mentioned disclosed that the action and activities of some government appointees during the APC Primary’s would form the kernel of the lawmakers deliberation.
The source hinted that some council Chairmen, Commissioners, other appointees who were fingered to have been involved in insubordination may be suspended.
Similarly, the source said there is the likelyhood of the impeachment of Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, and Few other Principal Leaders of the State Assembly.
The allegations of corruption by these members and others would be the offenses.
Some members of Gov. Bello’s cabinet were said to be behind the Governor’s decision.
This is in a desperate face saving move to pass the buck and conceal their syphoning of several billions belonging to Gov. Bello and the State in the just concluded futile Presidential bid of the Governor.
It was alledged that some of the anointed candidates of the Governor did not get the support of some appointees, reason why they failed, thus they may be sanctioned through the Assembly.
All efforts to speak with the spokesman of the Assembly proved difficult as he could not be reached.
For now fear grips appointees as it is obvious that heads would begin to roll from today.
Similarly, the assembly maybe presented with list of commissioners to replace those who went for election and were successful as well as possibly recall those who lost.
It is expected that having been screened by the House at sometimes in the same dispensation, the assembly may grant them waiver not to be rescreened.
