By joshua ACCORD PARTY LG COORDINATORS PLEDGE GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION FOR OLAWEPO-HASHIM IN KOGI
The newly appointed Local Government Coordinators of the Accord Party in Kogi State have assured the party of their unwavering commitment to galvanize grassroots participation for the actualisation of the aspirations of its Presidential Candidate, Mr. Olawepo-Hashim, in the forthcoming general elections.
This was made known on Wednesday in Lokoja by the Chairman and Spokesperson of the Forum of LG Coordinators, Agubason Julius, while outlining the activities of the group for the success of the party in the state.
Agubason said the forum has also committed to leveraging its extensive grassroots connections to make the Accord Party the party of first choice across Kogi State.
He first commended and congratulated the leadership of the Accord Party for its courage and commitment to the political transformation and development of the nation, which informed the appointments.
He congratulated Mr. Olawepo-Hashim on his emergence as the Presidential Candidate of the Accord Party, describing it as an opportunity to inspire Nigerians with a renewed vision of purposeful leadership, good governance, economic development, and national unity.
According to him, “We are particularly encouraged by your determination to provide credible leadership and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Nigeria. Your courage to offer yourself for national service is worthy of commendation.”
“We wish to assure you of our steadfast commitment to supporting the ideals, objectives, and aspirations of the Accord Party. We remain prepared to contribute our time, energy, experience, and goodwill towards the success of the mandate.
“We are confident that with dedication, teamwork, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose, we can collectively build a stronger political movement capable of responding to the aspirations of Nigerians. Please be assured of our loyalty, commitment, and readiness to work with other stakeholders towards achieving the objectives of the campaign and the broader national vision.
“Once again, congratulations on this important milestone. We pray that God grants us wisdom, strength, good health, and the courage required to successfully and jointly pursue this noble national assignment,” he assured.
Agubason declared that with the experience and wide connections of the coordinators at the grassroots where active voters reside, their appointment was a “right peg in the right hole” and would translate the dreams of the party into electoral success.
He noted that although the Accord Party is relatively new in the state, the joint efforts of all stakeholders are making the party become a household name in Kogi.
He pledged the commitment of the forum to achieve success in its assignment, saying the caliber of the coordinators would serve as a kernel in raising the consciousness of the electorate and drive aggressive mobilisation for the party and its candidates at all levels.
He called on Nigerians to shun politics of ethnicity, religious bias and clinging to the old order, and instead embrace politics of competency, character, compassion and credibility as the only option to move the nation forward.
He also charged Nigerians and the Kogi State electorate to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, noting that it is the only guarantee to elect candidates of their choice. He urged the people to come out en masse to vote for the Accord Party in all elections.
