Abuja-based constituents rally support for Gov Otu, Rep Akiba, Reaffirms continuity ahead of 2027
In a strong display of renewed solidarity, sons and daughters of Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency resident in Abuja, under the banner of the Bassey Otu/Bassey Akiba Continuity Movement 2027, paid a courtesy visit to the Member representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency, Rep. Bassey Akiba, to reaffirm their unwavering support for the re-election of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, and Rep. Bassey Akiba.
The delegation stated that they have closely followed the transformative governance strides of Governor Bassey Otu across Cross River State, as well as the impactful and people-centred representation of Rep. Bassey Akiba at the National Assembly, describing both leaders as visionary, responsive, and deeply committed to public service.
They further noted that notable achievements in governance, empowerment, healthcare delivery, educational support, and infrastructural development have strengthened public confidence in the current leadership, stressing that continuity remains essential to consolidate gains and ensure the full completion of ongoing people-oriented projects.
The group also pledged intensified grassroots mobilization and sensitization within Abuja and beyond, declaring their full alignment with the continuity agenda and reaffirming their commitment to mobilizing support for the second term bids of Governor Bassey Otu and Rep. Bassey Akiba ahead of 2027.
In response, Rep. Bassey Akiba expressed profound appreciation for the visit and the show of solidarity, noting that such encouragement further strengthens his resolve. He reaffirmed that the synergy with Governor Bassey Otu remains focused on unity, inclusive governance, and sustainable development that delivers lasting impact to the people of Cross River State and Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency.
