Comr. Isah Ada Abu Wins Kogi LG Youth Council Election, Promises to Continue To Do His Best To Sustain The Progress Recorded Under The Various Administration

 

 

The Vice Chairman, Kogi West in the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Kogi State Chapter, Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu has won election conducted by the State Congress Planning Committee (CPC) in conjunction with the Kogi Local Government Area Congress Planning Committee (KLCPC) to fill in the vacant position of the outgoing coordinator and his team whose tenure elapses next month.

Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu and others had won the elections unopposed after other aspirants step down to pave the way for the new Executives who will run affairs of the council in the next four years.

The congress was duly supervised by Congress Planning Committee, security agents and other critical stakeholders from other organizations with aimed of ensuring its success.

Addressing the delegates, Vice Chairman Congress Planning Committee, Comr. Bala U. Umar, said the event was designed to usher in new Executives that would run affairs of the council in Kogi LG for the next four years.

He commended the delegates for peaceful coexistence, maturity and call on them to rally round the new Excos in the best interest of the council.

Also speaking, the outgoing coordinator of the NYCN Kogi LG Chapter and who is also the Supervisory councilor on Education and Social Services in Kogi LGC, Hon. Comr. Umar Muhammed Bako, described the day as a very rare one for him, saying it was the same day he was elected and charged with responsibility to lead the youth constituents of Kogi LG in the last four years.

According to him, he has served diligently for an uninterrupted 4 years with lot of records put in place and urged his successor to build on his legacies.

Bako described Ada Abu as a detribalised gentleman who is always passion about serving his land to attract meaningful development.

While congratulating his successor, his team and prayed God for success of the new Leadership.

Comr. Umar Faruk, SSA on Security Matter to the Deputy Governor of Kogi State welcome all the delegates on behalf of the CPC committee and charged them to leave above board.

In his addressed, the pioneer Chairman, NYCN, Kogi State Comr. Haroun Opotu Yuusuff, told the delegates that the youth council was formally inaugurated in 1992 by former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Late Alhaj Prince Abubakar Audu of the blessed memory.

In his acceptance speech, the new coordinator elect NYCN for Kogi LG, Comr. Isah Abubakar Ada Abu, thanked the CPC both at the State and LG levels for their sincerity of purpose geared towards achieving a free, fair and credible poll. Comr. Ada Abu, pledged to work with all stakeholders to achieve set goals calling on the people of Kogi LG to give him maximum support and prayer to enable him succeed. It would be recalled that 51 Delegates Accredited and voted for various candidates and inline with electoral procedures of the youth council.

Those who served in the electoral college of the NYCN that conducted the election are Chairman CPC, Hon. Haroun Opotu Yuusuf, Vice Chairman, Comr Bala U. Umar, Secretary, Comr Dan’asebe. Comr Isah Abubakar Ada Abu and other contestants during the Congress.
Others include LGCPC, Chairman, Comr Danjuma Adamu and Secretary, Yahaya Idris among other.
