2027: Rt. Hon. Lawal Again Movement Holds Maiden Strategy Meeting With 14 Wards Coordinators, Women Leaders In Ajaokuta

The Rt. Hon. Lawal Again 2026 political movement has held its maiden expanded meeting with Coordinators from the 14 wards of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Women Leaders and Heads of Directorates to fine-tune campaign coordination and mobilisation strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, convened by Hon. Shittu Idris at the weekend, focused on strengthening grassroots structures and effectively communicating the public service records of Rt. Hon. Lawal Muhammad Idirisu and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to the electorate.
In his remarks, the North-Central Ex-Officio of the group, Hon. Mahmud Ali, charged the coordinators and women leaders to remain steadfast and not be discouraged by temporary challenges. He urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities at the ward level.
Hon. Ali said the movement must be intentional about projecting the achievements of its principals, noting that both Rt. Hon. Idirisu and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan have demonstrated commitment to delivering dividends of democracy through verifiable records in public service.
“Our candidates have a story of service to tell. You must understand it, own it, and be able to communicate it effectively to the ordinary voter at the grassroots,” he stated.
During an interactive session, ward coordinators highlighted operational challenges and suggested practical solutions to boost effectiveness.
Coordinators from Ogigiri and Adogo Wards called for logistical support, particularly mobile phones and other communication tools, to enhance door-to-door mobilisation and real-time reporting.
The Ebia North Coordinator raised concerns over the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), appealing for institutional support to help constituents navigate challenges associated with accessing their cards through INEC channels.
Similarly, the Odolu/Owange Ward Coordinator advocated for a more robust communication link between ward structures and the principal leadership to ensure prompt dissemination of information and feedback.
Participants also emphasized the need for inclusive engagement of the Tiv community residing in Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, noting their numerical strength and active participation in the electoral process.
Responding to the concerns, the Convener and organiser of the meeting, Hon. Shittu Idris, assured participants that all observations had been duly noted and would be escalated to the leadership for appropriate action.
He said issues bordering on mobilisation and provision of communication tools would be communicated to the principal for consideration, while encouraging coordinators to sustain their enthusiasm and unity of purpose.
As part of the meeting, a draft campaign strategy and operational framework was unveiled to guide coordinators and women leaders in the discharge of their responsibilities across the wards.
The document focuses on coordination, messaging, voter education, PVC mobilisation and synergy among directorates.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Shittu thanked all delegates, ward coordinators, women leaders and directorate members for their attendance and active contributions. He wished them safe return to their respective wards and charged them to maintain unity, discipline and effective communication.
The maiden meeting, according to stakeholders, signals the movement’s readiness to deepen its grassroots penetration and establish a coordinated framework for sustained engagement across Ajaokuta Federal Constituency ahead of 2027.
