LASG DG, Elders Council Member Pacify Aggrieved ADC Supporters of Leke Abejide in Mopamuro, Promise Redress

The Director General of the Leke Abejide Support Group (LASG), Dr. Yomi Charles Olorunshola, alongside a member of the Group’s Elders Advisory Council, Chief Kunle Abogun, has moved to pacify aggrieved supporters of Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, assuring them that their grievances would receive due attention.

The aggrieved ADC supporters, who met with Chief Abogun at Aiyetegun in Mopamuro, expressed displeasure over what they described as their continued marginalisation and exclusion from activities relating to Leke Abejide in the local government. They alleged that some APC members from various wards across Mopamuro had sidelined them despite their loyalty and commitment to the political cause of the federal lawmaker.

In response, Dr. Olorunshola appealed for calm and assured the aggrieved supporters that their concerns would be communicated to the appropriate quarters for necessary redress. He emphasised the importance of fairness, inclusiveness and unity in sustaining a formidable support base for Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide.

The LASG Director General encouraged the aggrieved ADC supporters not to allow their grievances to weaken their commitment to the collective political vision of Leke Abejide. He reiterated the importance of grassroots engagement and cooperation among supporters across the wards of Mopamuro and the wider Yagba Federal Constituency.

The intervention was aimed at addressing the concerns raised, restoring confidence among the affected supporters and ensuring that loyal supporters, irrespective of their political affiliations, are treated fairly and given due consideration in activities connected with Leke Abejide.

The meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, with the supporters encouraged to remain steadfast in their respective wards while awaiting the promised intervention.

The development underscores the commitment of the Leke Abejide Support Group leadership to dialogue, conflict resolution and grassroots mobilisation, recognising that unity, fairness and inclusiveness are essential to sustaining a strong and effective support network for Rt. Hon. Leke Abejide.
