2023:Olaiya eyes Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu seat


 

An estate developer, Hon Olaiya Olobatoke has disclosed that his ambition to represent the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency come 2023 is borne out of the fact to bring development to his constituency.

Hon Olobatoke Olaiye who is a graduate of university of Ilorin and an indegene of Kabba made this known during a chat with newsmen in Kabba.

According to him, a good political representative in the National Assembly can always lobby to get infrastructural developments and government presence for his constituents.

He added that with his academic attainment and working experience as an estate developer, he us capable of lobbying the executive for the benefit of his people.

He said that though past and present representatives have tried but their efforts was not enough to take the people out of the doldrums, adding that there was nothing on ground to show.

“Our people have been reduced to beggars, no salaries as at when due and when salaries is paid, it is in percentages at the local government level” he stated.

He said if he was given the mandate, which he was working towards, he would create enabling environment for business to thrive.

His Christmas message was simple: Christians should be grateful to God after surviving the first Covid-19 pandemic and now the second wave.
