Nigerians have been assured that like Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, women in the country will get more than the 35% affirmative action for opportunities in government and other elective offices if the All Progressives Congress Presidential Flagbearer is elected in 2023.
The inauguration took place at the Glass House of Kogi State Government House, immediately after the Environmental Walk Organized by Kogi State APC Women Professional Council tagged: Tidy up Nigeria, Tidy up Kogi State.
Gov. Bello was represented at the inauguration by the Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulraheem Jamiu Asuku, described the APC Presidential Flagbearer as a human capacity builder, expressed optimism that come 2023 when elected he will be a leader of all Nigerians.
Gov. Bello urged the women to believe in APC, expressed confidence of APC and Tinubu’s victory in 2023, assured that the Presidential Candidate will priorities issues of women, beyond the 35% affirmative action.
Gov. Bello described women as the greatest teachers, urged them to make concerted efforts in building a responsible nation by using there numerical strength to vote the APC from top to bottom, said the slogan ” No woman, no nation”, underscores the veritable place women occupy in the society.
Gov. Bello pointed out that he wouldnt have been where he is today without the efforts of his mother, said women have been teachers from time immemorial, urged the APC women to live responsibly and ensure that they vote for the future of the country in 2023.
Gov. Bello explained that if the country desire to see a brighter and rewarding future, where citizens would be proud of, urged the women to vote for the APC, a party that is resolved to make issues of women a priority.
Gov. Bello explained that the past, present and future development of Nigeria rest on the shoulders of women, said as people who care for progress, described 2023 as a defining moments for women of Nigeria to make history by believing and voting for the APC.
In her remarks, the Kogi State Coordinator of APC Women Professionals, Hajia Rekiya Onaivo Sanni assured that women in the State are resolved in voting for the APC and all her candidates in the 2023 General election, solicited support that would see to the emergence of all APC Women candidates from the State in 2023 to enable them take there rightful place in nation building.
Similarly, a public lecture was delivered by the Director, Kogi State Sanitation Board, Mr. Falodun Vincent Oladunjoye, on the Environmental factors that impact health, problems associated with unwholesome environmental pollution and who is responsible for a healthy environment was delivered at the occasion, with a call on women to keep there environment clean at all times.
