2023 Kogi Central Election: More Groups Pass Confidence Vote On Gov Bello, Endorse APC Senatorial Candidate Engr. Ohere.


 

It was yet another bumper harvest for the All Progressive Congress, APC and it’s Leadership in Kogi State as notable interest groups have thrown their weights behind the Ruling Party as 2023 General Elections knocks.

 

Amongst the group that passed confidence vote on Gov. Bello and adopted Engr Abubakar Ohere as the Central Senatorial District Candidate was the Executives of All Football Fans, particularly, Chelsea and Arsenal in Kogi Central as well as Association of Kogi Central Coaches.

The groups today being 1st December, 2022 at a visit to the APC Kogi Central Senatorial Candidate, Engr Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, appreciated the good works of Gov. Bello and also express their support for all the APC Candidates in the forth coming general election.

The President Generals of Chelsea Fans Organisation and that of Arsenal, as well as that of the Coaches Association, Comrade Abdulhameed Salawu, Hassan Taofik and Mr. Ikunaiye Yakubu Umar respectively in their separate remarks stressed how sport has been a unifying factor for the youths of Ebiraland both home and in diaspora.

They harped on how the New Direction Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello has brought development, peace and unity to the land; drastically reduced youth restiveness and created enabling environment for youths to strive.

They promised to work assiduously for the victory of all the APC Candidates, particularly Engr Ohere for what he has done for the Football Club Fans in the past and his continued commitment to sport development in Central. He specifically commended the Senatorial Candidate for his sponsorship of some talented Ebira Sons for greener pasture in football profession abroad in the time past and support for their various sport activities in Kogi Central. They conferred honour on the award winning Engr Ohere.

Similarly, the Kogi Central APC Flagbearer, Engr Abubakar Ohere also received in audience, the Executives of Master Bakers Association led by their Chairman, Alh Muhammad Nazifi who spoke overwhelming on their readiness to galvanize massive support for Engr Ohere as well as other Candidates of the APC in solidarity with the successes recorded by His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello in Kogi State today.

The Senatorial Hopeful also played host to JB Street reachout group who donated some campaign souvenirs to the people’s Candidate.

Crowning the Solidarity Homage was the High-powered Delegation of Igbo Community in Kogi Central led by their President, Chief Augustine Azoro, the Okuroha 1 who prayed fervently for Governor Bello and their host community.

The Spokesperson of the Igbo Community, Chief Chukwudi Orah, the Omudo 1 lauded the tremendous achievements of His Excellency’s particular infrastructural development and security laying much emphasis on the latter. He recalled the sad days when his Igbo kinsmen from across the nation since Kogi boarders about 10 states, were usually disposed of their business capital and goods on transit with their women raped and sometimes kidnapped for ransome.

According to him, the emergence of Governor Bello as the Chief Security Officer who confronted the hydra-headed security challenge didn’t only curb the menace but helped create enabling environment for their people who are predominantly businessmen for their trade to thrive. He declared their unalloyed loyalty for His Excellency; pledged total support for the candidature of their host, Engr. Ohere and all other APC Flagbearers in Kogi Central in the coming general elections.

The Flagbearer of The All Progressive Congress, APC for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Engr, Dr Abubakar Ohere, in his separate response, thanked the delegations for their overwhelming show of solidarity and promised them of quality representation when finally trusted with the mandate. The delegation was received alongside the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress for House of Representative, Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdulraheem Sanni, Esq who gave the closing remarks to cap the meeting.
