The Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Idah Federal Constituency in 2023 election in Kogi, Hon. Uchola Ojogbane Omale has assured his constituents of a quality legislative representation if given the opportunity to represent them.
Uchola gave the assurance in an exclusive interview with our Correspondent in Lokoja on Monday.
The House of Representatives hopeful said that the sponsorship of motions that would lead to enactment of laws for the promotion of youth and women empowerment, would be his main focus if elected.
Hon. Uchola also promised to employ intensive lobbying that would bring succour to his people and wipe out the untold hardship inflicted on them by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi State.
He vowed that if given the mandate, he would aggressively push for new laws that would guarantee adequate checks and balances between the executive and legislative arms of government for accountability and transparency in the system.
The PDP Candidate further unfolded that his coming on board would ensure that his constituents have access to quality and affordable education.
He, therefore, called on the people of his area to reject the ruling APC that had inflicted poverty, pains and insecurity on them and vote wisely for all the candidates of the opposition PDP to regain their sound livelihood.
Hon. Uchola lamented the negative impact of vote buying on the nation’s electoral process and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), to end the unfortunate trend.
According to him, this can be effectively achieved by making polling booths a bit far from the eyes of voters and agents alike, this will give the electorates the audacity to vote for their conscience and disabuse the mind of the ‘buyer’.
