The President of Riverine Peace Initiative in Niger Delta , Comrade Toluwa Mulade has called on the Military not to listen to enemies of democracy who want to pressurize them to compromise in the 2023 general election.
Comrade Toluwa Mulade stressed that Nigeria Democracy has under gone different process and can not to be truncated at this point.
This statement was given in a release made available to journalists in Benin city and signed by Comrade Toluwa Mulade .
Mulade commended the Chief of Defense Staff for reassuring Nigerians that the military will remain neutral in the 2023 general election.
He charged him that the statement should not be for the camera but should be carried out to the latter as 2023 general election is another opportunity for Nigerians to determine who lead them and should not be gagged into taking such very important decision.
According to him, “Nigerians have gone through a whole lot and would not want anything that would undermine their franchise.”
He however appealed to the relevant security agencies to take a cue from the Nigeria Military and reassure Nigerians that they would remain neutral in the 2023 General Elections.
In a similar development, Comrade Mulade Toluwa enjoined Nigerians to rise up and visit Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Offices in their various wards and local government to pick up their PVCs .
He further stressed that everyone must be ready to excise his or her franchise in the upcoming election and the only way to achieve this is through PVCs.
He therefor added that every Nigerians must be up and doing and shun the habit of waiting for one politician to help you collect your PVCs.
