
As the preparations for the 2023 general election gathers drive, the Kogi Central APC Senatorial Candidate has received the Coalition of Kogi Central Women in Politics in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The group which cover the five LGAs in Kogi Central was led by their President, Mrs. Abdulkadir Rukayat Ajoge.
The President said, their decision to key behind the candidacy of Engr. Abubakar Ohere as the APC Senate flag bearer for Kogi Central was in view of his improved vigour, open-door policy, teamspirit and accessibility that His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello has engineered as the hallmark of his governance which Engr Ohere has adopted and exhibited the examples as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs cum Commissioner for Works and Housing.
The group added that, even so they are socio-political women group whose ideologies consent to the interest of women in term of political, economic, and social equalities, their resolve to repudiate women candidacy to support Engr. Ohere is born out of the fact that he has followed his Boss, Governor Yahaya Bello by ensuring absolute women inclusiveness in the governance of Kogi State.
The group said women take higher percentage of the electorates and therefore are principal election determinants and on that notes pledged to deploy their women’s approaches to convince every woman across the five LGAs in Kogi Central to ensure massive turnouts and votes for Engr. Ohere.
Engr. Abubakar Ohere welcomed the group’s executive delegation, and expressed satisfaction for the strength of the women coalition. He took time to explain his candidacy saying that he will only come to consolidate on the good job His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello has done across the state and in particular, Kogi Central.
While encouraging them to deploy their stratagem and then overhaul the five LGAs to bring their fellow women to board, he assured the group of the necessary support to be able to function as they have gaged.
Among the executives of the group are the Adavi APC Women Leader who also doubles as the group’s coordinator for Adavi, Mrs. Farouk Umar Halimat; the Okene Coordinator, Mrs. Salihu Fati; the Ajaokuta Coordinator, Haj. Muhammedkabir Ramat; the Okehi Coordinator, Mrs. Raji Mulikat; the Ogori Magongo Coordinator, Mrs. Atoluse Blessing M.; the leader of Edo Community in Kogi Central, Mrs. Farouk Umar Halimat; The Nagazi Farm Centre Coordinator, Onyai Aduo-za Aava and others.
