The People Living with Disabilities in Kogi State have told the All Progressive Congress that the APC will be in trouble if they fail to field Gov. Yahaya Bello for the 2023 Presidential election.
The Executive Secretary, Office of the Disability in Kogi State, Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, made the statement when he and the Chairman of the Office, Hon. Ibrahim Daniel Arome, paid an official visit to Gov. Yahaya Bello to appreciate him for giving people living with disabilities a voice in the State.
Barr. Dare said they visit is to seek more areas of collaboration with the state government, praised Gov. Yahaya Bello for his magnanimity for creating the office for PLWD.
The Executive Secretary said the visit is to seek more ways in which the capacity of PLWD will be built towards taking them off the street from begging and to have a decent means of livelihood.
He added that the visit is to begin a partnership that will stop descremination against PLWD, allow access to public places and to ensure that there is a compliance with the employment quota for the special people.
The Executive Secretary said the visit is to further seek a collaboration that will lead to the achievements of the aims and objectives for setting up the office of disability in the State.
The Executive Secretary used the visit to invite PLWD in the State, North Central Nigeria and the country as a whole to attend the mother of all declaration of Gov. Yahaya Bello coming up at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Saturday.
The Executive Secretary said PLWD will be using the declaration to make a statement, said they intend to make a statement that will shake the foundation of the APC, pointing out that if they fail to field Gov. Bello in 2023, it will spell doom for the party, requested for vehicles and other logistics for the office of the Disability.
The Chairman in his remarks, thanked Gov. Bello for the opportunity for the PLWD to have a voice, pointing out that the visit is the beginning of better things to come for PLWD.
The Chairman commended the Executive Secretary of the Office for his efforts thus far described him as an asset to the office.
