The Chairman of the Lagos State branch of the Fugar Progressive Union, the Apex socio Cultural and political association in Fugar,Etsako Central local government area of Edo State, Chief Sunday Aruokhai has Congratulated the Sons and Daughters of fugar Community over the successful hosting of the 2022 Fugar Cultural festival.
Chief Aruokhai who led the Lagos State branch of the union in a procession, at the John Akhaghemhe Akhigbe Center, fugar the venue of the the Ceremony, said he was overwhelmingly delighted to be part of the various activities that heralded the grand finale, Teusday December 27,2022 in which the rich Cultural heritage of the Fugar people was displayed and showcased.
He pointed out that, the fugar Cultural festival which has become an annual event since the past four years, had enhanced the unity, cohesion and harmonious coexistence of fugar sons and daughters at home, in various parts of the Country and the world at large, stressing that the yearly cultural festival has created a platform for cultural Renaissance and reorientation, and has also provided a forum for serious and deliberate efforts towards proffering solutions to the challenges bedeviling the development of the fugar people.
In his words,we are more United today than before,we are more serious about the development of our land today than ever before,our people wants to always come home now during Christmas,even persons who don’t use to come before,so, the Fugar Cultural festival is yielding the desired results.
Chief Sunday Aruokhai applauded the planning Committee members for a job well done, saying that, they have seen an improvement in the 2022 fugar cultural festival compared to that of the previous years.
He further called on the sons and daughters of Fugar, especially the youth to be Worthy ambassadors of the community in any environment they resides, also Charging them to desist from any acts that would tarnish the reputation of the entire name of the good people of Fugar,even as he called for a peaceful and nonviolent elections come 2023.
