12th Edition of National Veteran Cup: Edo Won’t Disappoint Nigerians- Edosomwan

As the preparations for the hosting of the 12th edition of the National Veteran Cup hots up in Edo State, President of Edo All Stars Johnbull Ehor Edosomwan, has said that Edo State have set machinery in motion to ensure that Edo State have a hitch free hosting competition.

 

Edosomwan in a chat with sports journalists in Benin expressed confidence that Edo State Veterans are working round the clock to ensure that Edo State supercede previous hosting of other states.

He said he was happy that Edo State is hosting the prestigious competition for the first time since it’s inception, adding that they are determined to feature high profile ex- Internationals for the competition.

According to him:

“All Stars in Edo State have been waiting for the hosting of the National Veteran competition for a long time. I would like to take this opportunity to say we are very much delighted to have the hosting right. National Veteran Cup competition is a big event, this is the 12th edition and this is the first time Edo State is hosting. So we are going to do everything to ensure that Edo State surpass all previous records done by other states in the country.”

“As we prepare for this historic event, Edo State is battle ready to showcase talents. You agree with me that Edo State has array of ex- Internationals who made Nigerians proud in their playing days. We are currently in camp and the players are in too shape for the fiesta. ”

“For us to Nigerian ex-Internationals gather in Edo State for the National Veteran competition is a big pride to the people of Edo State. Another important thing that makes us happy is that the State government and other important dignitaries are involved in the organization. Our own Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, will lead Edo State killer squad.
We are battle ready for the competition and all logistics needed to have a successful tournament has been put in place. We can’t wait to host the competition in October.”
