The President of Cashew Farmers Union of Nigeria, CFUN, Mr Stephen Ahiaba says improving the economic wellbeing of the people remains the solution to poverty in Igala land.
Mr Ahiaba made the remarks after being confered with the Arise Igala Leadership Award in Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
He noted that Igala as a nation is endowed with natural resources hence the need for all Igala sons and daughters to begin to identify such rural endowment towards adding value to their lives.
He called for aggressive businesses and investment opportunities in their domains towards sustainable development in the kingdom.
Mr Ahiaba said the Award of good performance in Agro- Allied Industry was not to him alone, but to all Cashew farmers and expressed appreciation to the organization for recognizing his modest contributions to the growth of the industry.
Earlier, the Publisher of Arise Igala Magazine, Onoja Okpanachi said the Award on Mr Stephen Ahiaba was based on his outstanding contributions to the Agro-Allied Industry, especially in Igala land and appealed to Igala people to do more in addressing poverty in the area.
