The Ojuju AMOMANE Igala Kingdom, a committee of indigenous people of Igala Kingdom has declared their full support to the age long tradition of selecting an Attah Igala as exemplified by the Igalamela King makers led by the Etemahi and the Achadu Igala.
The social cultural organization in a press statement urged all Igala sons and daughters not to support any deviation from the age long tradition of the Igala people which dates back centuries.
The statement which was signed by the National Executive secretary prince Amade Obaje and National legal adviser Barister Daniel David Aguda said the body totally stands by the approval of Etemahi Igalamela and Achadu Igala,the prime minister of Igala Kingdom in the selection of a new Attah Igala saying any deviation from the norm is totally an abomination and secreligeios .
It noted that the Noble people of Igala Kingdom,the Igala Elders consultative forum,Igala youth council of Nigeria appreciate efforts of well meaning people of the Igala Kingdom in the selection of the right choice of the people as Attah Igala.
According to the body,the Igalamela King makers headed by the Etemahi Igalamela are the only traditionally constituted body entitled by Igala native law and custom for the appointment of an Attah Igala.
It added that the kingmakers headed by the Etemahi are ,Agbenyo,Onubiogbo,Onede,Aleji,Okweje,Achadu kekele ukwaja,Ananya Attah and achanya Attah respectively.
[5/31, 2:44 PM] abubakarameh: The Ojuju AMOMANE Igala Kingdom noted that the four rulling houses who are decendants in the male line of Ayegba omaidoko are,Aju AmeAchor,Aju Aku,Aju Akogu,Aju Aku and Aju Ocholi rulling houses.
It explained that upon the demise of an Incumbent Attah and after the completion of all traditional burial rites ,the Achadu requests the kingmakers to consider setting in motion the process of selecting a successor to the throne of Attah Igala .
According to the statement, applications are thereafter received from eligible persons
The organization explained further that the method of nomination by the rulling house that will produce an Attah is for the eldest in the rulling house in consideration with other members of the house nominate the candidate who shall go for proverbs rendation before the kingmakers.who shall screen and appoint the new Attah Igala.and transmit same to Achadu in writing.
The Achadu on his part it noted shall inturn forward the name of the appointee to the Igala area Traditional council who are expected to forward same to the state Traditional council of chiefs who will subsiquently transmit the name to the Executive Governor for approval.

[5/31, 2:49 PM] abubakarameh: It noted that the last Attah Igala his majesty Idakwo Michael Ameoboni who has gone hunting went through the same process before his appointment adding that the laid down procedure should be respected .
It expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for being a listening and humane leader who has continued to ensure that the right things are done always.
