The Kogi State Commissioner For Water Resources, Engr Yahaya MD Farouk says the reign of the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Dr Saidu Akawu Salihu in just a year has positively impacted Igu Kingdom with feasible results seen in the growth and development of the sons and daughters of the Kingdom.
According to the statement issued to Newsmen, Engr Yahaya MD Farouk said: “Your Royal Majesty. I, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, Kogi State Commissioner For Water Resources, wish to heartfully, sincerely and joyfully celebrate our Royal Father, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Dr. Salihu Akawu Saidu, on your remarkable one year on the throne of your forefathers.
Gabaidu, as you mark your one year anniversary on the throne, it is without gainsaying the fact that you have brought so much joy and happiness to Igu Kingdom.
Permit me to State that under your reign, Igu Kingdom is now more united, with the people striving hard on the collective development of the Kingdom like never before.
Let me thank and appreciate you for the respect that your emergence brought to Igu Kingdom. As we celebrate your one year of purposeful leadership as a Traditional Ruler who has made the unity and peaceful coexistence amongst the people paramount, thank you for your words of wisdom and encouragement.
You have without mincing words proven that under your reign, Igu Kingdom can witness positive impact that is in leaps and bounds.
You have brought respect and candour to the reverred throne of your forefathers to the extent that your fatherly role to us all remains unprecedented and cannot be ignored.
